SCOTT ABDALLAH RECOGNIZED BY THE SOUTH DAKOTA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

Feb 19, 24

The South Dakota Community Foundation recently recognized Scott Abdallah for helping to establish and promote the Gene Abdallah Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship fund was established in 2019 when Scott’s dad, Gene Abdallah, passed away.  Gene devoted nearly 50 of his life to public service and law enforcement in South Dakota.  The scholarship fund, which has grown exponentially since its inception, now provides needed scholarships to students who are looking to become law enforcement officers in South Dakota.  “We have been so thankful for the support and guidance the South Dakota Community Foundation has provided to us over the last four years.  This scholarship fund has grown beyond our wildest dreams, and it now provides a path for people who might not otherwise be able to afford pursuing the higher education necessary for a law enforcement career,” said Scott.  Those interested in donating to the fund can do so online using this link. https://www.sdcommunityfoundation.org/giving/support-an-existing-fund/gene-abdallah-scholarship-fund
